The St. Valentine's Day Massacre Playlist - Halo 3 Gets in on the V-Day Lovefest

Last week, Bungie mentioned during its weekly update that a Halo 3 playlist would be launching this week just in time for Valentine’s Day and would be called the “St. Valentine’s Day Massacre”. Today we have found out that the playlist will be a variation of the existing Team Doubles hopper, trimmed down to just Team Slayer and will commence today starting at 10 a.m. PST and end at 2 a.m. on February 18th.The Valentine’s Day Massacre will also be a way for Bungie to test the ability to turn a hopper on and off at certain times and the hopper’s short lifespan will let them us cull data in a confined period of time - or the length of the tournament. The playlist will be a Ranked Double Team experience.
There will be prizes and a detailed set of information and statistics will be at Bungie’s disposal to figure out what prizes should go to whom and will be watching the hopper for cases of “cheating, chicanery and general in-game jerkdom”.
Sounds like something more fun to do than feign interest in the store-bought cards, satin heart shaped boxes of candy which over half of are nasty and the automatic feelings of love and lust that you are expected to reveal and participate in just because it is the day of love. Blech. Sounds like Bungie has the better idea if you ask me.

Tried this out, wasnt overly thrilled with it. Too many 'aggressive' players around. I'll still with my usual routine of playing and dying quietly in normal doubles
