Nintendo of America's Senior VP of Marketing and Corporate Communications [Only registered users can see links. ] is quite hopeful:

Wii Play builds on the types of games and experiences people have come to love in [Only registered users can see links. ]. Millions of people around the world are recognizing Wii as the future of gaming. We are changing how people play games, who plays and how many play.

And with its pricing, it seems that Wii Play is really being pushed by Nintendo. The game comes packaged with a Wiimote for a suggested retail price of US 49.99. A typical Wii title retails around US 50 and the controller is priced at US 39.99.

Lastly, in case you've been living in a windowless room with a smelly, oily creature for the past months, [Only registered users can see links. ] included in Wii Play:

  • Find [Only registered users can see links. ]
  • Pose Mii
  • [Only registered users can see links. ]
  • Billiards
  • Charge
  • Tanks
I have got this game, and it was pretty much sold out everywhere in the UK - although, i think its more to do with, because it comes bundled with an extra wiimote.
I played this the day I got it, maybe the day after, and, havent played it since.
Tis fun, but, not really that great imo.

We got Wii Play on Wednesday and, so far, enjoy it. I had gone to the store for something else and decided to check in the Wii section to look at any new games that had come out. I almost got it then when I saw it but remembered my hubby saying, "maybe". Later that day when I went to pick my hubby up from work I mentioned seeing it and we headed back to the store. Of course, they were all gone when we got there. My hubby scolded me for not getting it earlier when I first saw it. The sales person happened to overhear us and mentioned seeing one behind the counter and gave it to us. I'm sure that another clerk put it behind there for themselves, but oh well.......*giggles*

In the end, I guess it is more enjoyable if you have a child to enjoy Wii Play with. We will get alot of use out of it because of that.
