THIS WRITES TO MEMORY CARD SO ZERO CHANCE OFF BRICKING.IF FILES DON'T WORK YOUR PSP WILL FREEZE,SO JUST TAKE OUT BATTERY AND MEMORY CARD THEN RE-INSERT BATTERY,TURN PSP ON THEN INSERT MEMORY CARD AND TRY DIFFERENT FILES
Firstly you need Custom Xmb Plugin v.2:

1. Create a folder on the root of the PSP's memory card called cxmb
So it should look like this :
ISO
SEPLUGINS(optional if you have it)
MP_ROOT
MUSIC
PICTURE
VIDEO
cxmb

2.Copy the cxmb.prx to the cxmbfolder.


3.Next in the cxmb folder make a font folder and a vsh folder


4.Inside the vsh folder make a resource folder.


5. Copy all the .rco files you wish to use into the resource folder, including the 01-12.bmp image.


6.Goto the SEPLUGINS folder on the root of your memory stick(if you dont have one then make one),then edit the vsh.txt(again if you dont have one then make one). Add this txt ms0:/cxmb/cxmb.prx
. Then press x in the top right hand corner then it will ask if you wish to save, select yes(or save)


7. Go into recovery mode(turn off psp by holding power button for 5 seconds. Then hold down R button and turn psp back on. Don't let go off buttons until you see a black screen with red txt. Enable the cxmb plugin in plugins.



8. Then exit recovery and wait for psp to restart.

So far i have only been able to get opening plugin, gameboot,and font to work but it's a step closer.
I will keep testing more and post my results here, if you all could do the same that would be wicked. You could also pm me your files that you have tested and worked and i will add then with credit to you here
I know it's not in the flash0 folder like the older firmwares but it will do fine for now i am sure you will agree
