PSX Games for 4.01 M33?

I heard that popsloader is not needed to run some psx eboots .. Can somebody tell me which games exactly?

that is not true. I have a psp slim black with cfw 4.01m33-2 with popsloader on it. I am currently playing resident evil 3, and metal gear solid. I tried to play both games without popsloader and to no avail none of them worked. the only my games worked without popsloader is when I was on cfw 3.80m33-3. I hope this helps you out.

Are you sure thats not true? Then how do people with OFW play psx games from the Playstation store.

i cant play ff7 and ff8 and xenogears w/o 3.80 m33 v2 popsloader and 3.72 prxs.

Popsloader may not be needed... but it depends on what firmware version you are running. Each firmware revision had changes to POPS to improve compatibility... this was certainly not always the case.

Hence why popsloader was created by DA... to allow you to run PSX titles on your PSP with previous versions of POPS that are possibly more compatible than the following versions.

If you are asking what games you can play without popsloader, you will also need to tell us what firmware you are running. Even then, the game may play without popsloader... just not very well.

O sry! Ive guess I'm wrong. Ive played no games with a ofw. I always take the time to read the post before posting, if i didn't that would be stupid on my part. :> I've had got mgs and tekken 3 to work on my psp on a previous version of cfw. That must have been disabled in the newer versions though.
