| Super Moderator ![]() ![]() | Crisis Core FFIV Review ![]() Okay, let me just start out by saying. I know you all love Final Fantasy (well at least I hope so) so I will make this review fairly short because you are either already playing it or you don’t need me to tell you that it is awesome. If you are looking for another Final Fantasy game like all the others, then you might not like this Final Fantasy title. However, if you are looking for a game with stunning graphics, absolutely fun game play, wonderful soundtrack, or if you just want to fill in the gaps of the story, then stop reading this review and go and sell whatever you have to in order to get this game. I will start with the graphics. Although the in game graphics are pretty good it is the cut scenes that leave you absolutely breathless. They are just as beautiful as the graphics in Advent Children. The game play is mostly run from point A to point B, fight, cut scene, it is very story oriented. This sounds dull, but for those die hard Final Fantasy fans, they all know it was much needed. One of the neat things about the story orientation is the little nuances. (When Zach wins a battle he spins his sword around his head. I won’t explain that for the sake of spoilers.) As for the game play itself, it is much different and much easier. It is a little bit like FF XII, in that you run free and attack at will. To use all the different abilities you cycle through the different attacks via the right bumper. The game play is much easier as you are able to avoid attacks by rolling and guarding, and are able to heal when needed because it is not truly turn based. DMW is a new addition to the game, this is located in the top left of the screen, it constantly spins as long as you have SP. ![]() This is how you gain experience, gain limit breaks, and other power ups. It is a little weird at first, but once you play it you will see what I mean. As I said, I wanted to keep this short, simply put. Go buy it, now. If you have a psp you have no reason not to buy it! Good: Wonderful graphics, fun game play, great voice acting, and awesome story. Bad: cycling through the abilities can get a little aggravating at times. I happily give this a 9 Please, let me know what you guys think, would you give it a 10, a 2? What are your favorite parts of the game?

| Gamer ![]() | Great review. Made me bawl my eyes out Then I started again Endless fun, you forgot to mention 300+ side missions and are the names spelt different in your version? In mine Zack's name is spelt with a K where you spell it with a H, interesting...Graphics 10/10 Modified FFVII soundtrack 10/10 Storyline 11/10 Combat 9.5/10 Overall 10.125/10 My favorite part of the game was Angeal, Genesis and Sephiroth were in the training. The part I hated the most (for my own reasons) was the ending. People who played it know why. Last edited by mr-mushy; July 16th, 2008 at 02:25 AM. |
