Default Piracy

So China has decided to cit out Chow Yun Fat's portion of the film to about 10 minutes as it degrades the Chinese people. If you have seen the film you know that he is bald, scarred and has a long goatee and long nails. Old hollywood stereotypes if you will.

Chinese censors also cut Chow's line in which he states 'Welcome to Singapore' because it hints Singapore is a land of pirates. So that being said after I was done reading the article, it said you could by a copy of the DVD for about $1US totally uncensored. LOL

So piracy, yeah what do you think? Bad, good or indifferent? Me I am indifferent, but if it was a product I was selling I am sure I would be mad, unless I made a few million and could retire comfortably then I wouldn't really care.

I have moments of feeling really bad about piracy. I can sympathise with those that are losing money because of piracy but, Im a pirate - the parrot on my shoulder tells me so . I hate to think how much money I wouldve wasted on PSP games alone if I hadnt ever downloaded one. When I say wasted, I mean wasted money on some of the worst games in gaming history. I use downloading as a way of testing out games. If I like them then I buy them (sometimes ). I rarely go back to an iso and play it over and over tbh. I have to admit though that I think by downloading games, I kinda ruined my PSP experience. Games I didnt buy dont seem to be quite so good to me and maybe I dont give certain games enough of a chance because they were 'free' - no value in those games and so maybe I lost value in my gaming . Now Im waffling but, I change my mind about piracy way to often not to .

The same goes for me and my hubby. We don't have the money to waste on games that we end up not liking. For PC games we download them off of UTorrent if they are available to see if they are worth buying. We just see them on the shelf and then go home and look. So far it hasn't saved us diddly squat! LOL! We've loved every one we have tried out, like CivCity: Rome, Civilization 4 and Civ 4: Warlords, and Rise of Nations. So, Arrr.......me be a pirate for sure! :46:
